Well I started a post sometime last month and never finished. Now, summer' about over. Our kids go to school Friday morning for meet and greet and dropping off school supplies. They start school next Monday. Meagan's ready but Jason's not.
We didn't really take a vacation this summer, but we're probably going to Disney in November (yay!!) in conjunction with a two day seminar I just happened to find in Orlando.
Glo and MJ (my parents) celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in June. Our gift to them was family pictures, which we just did last weekend. Hope they come out good!
My grandmaw, MawMaw Rose turned 88 (I think) a few weeks ago!! She celebrated with lunch at Mike Anderson's with her daughters and sons-in-law.
Jason's still doing Karate and Meagan's going back to Karate. Also, soccer is starting soon. We will be quite busy. Oh! Jason is the VP of Student Council this year.... GO Jason!
I saw Mama Mia the other day. What a silly movie! Go see it with the girls and save your husband the torture.
Going with my sister to listen to Immaculee Ilibagiza speak in a few weeks at LSU assembly Center. Can't wait! You should read her book, Left to Tell. Not exactly fun and games, but really eye opening.
What is up with you??

New House, New Job, New York.....
Well, I'm finally back! I'm trying this blogging thing again. I downloaded Windows Live Writer which helps create and publish your blogs. We'll see.
Here's what's new with us:
- bought a new house in December. It's bigger, and we're enjoying it. But we haven't completely unpacked or hung pictures or anything.
- Old house isn't sold yet, but we do have a purchase agreement. The agreement is contingent on the sale of the purchaser's current house. Say a prayer for us that we'll finish off the school year with just one house. We really only need one.
- After 11 years as a route salesman with Community Coffee, Brett's getting a new position. He'll be over the ordering, filling, shipping out of internet and eventually wholesale orders. We are very excited! His back cannot handle another year on the coffee truck. Praise GOD!
- I'm going to New York for work! My first time! We will be working about 45 minutes from NYC, so I don't know how much of it I'll actually get to see.
- Jason and Meagan have enjoyed their new school this year. Their grades are great, and they've made friends. We've enjoyed meeting the other parents.
- Tootie is almost 15 years old!! SHe's hanging in there. She moves slow and sleeps alot (always has). She rarely ever barks anymore, she says it's just a waste of energy.
- Lucky, the new pup is cute, but kinda bad. He aggravates Tootie, and he likes to chew up things.
- Kids are growing like you would not believe!!
- Jason's a Green Belt Senior in Choi Kuan Do
- Meagan's a little soccer star.
- We just joined the YMCA. First time I exercised in a year!
So, what's happening with you??

What we've been up to
Hi there! We're busy as ever, how about you?
Here's what we've been up to:
Jason- He likes his new school and the kids and the teachers, thank goodness!! He thought he wanted to be in band. Tried the saxophone for a few weeks but quickly figured out that it'd be way too much work, and it was getting in the way of his free time. He still enjoys Karate, although it's hard to fit it into the schedule now that school's started. He says he wants to play soccer again, maybe next year at school. He still asks lots of questions and starts many sentences with "what if...." And, he LOVES his mommy!
Meagan-She too likes the new school and is making new friends. She also joined band and tried the flute. She lasted 4 weeks. She may decide to try again in a few years, but she's still young and she wants to do a little bit of everything. She loves soccer. She did Karate for a while, but I think she's getting tired of it. She still talks about going back to gym or cheer. Most of all, she likes her music and watching Disney Channel.
Brett- just got the second shot in his back to "burn" the nerves, although it's not really burning them b/c it's not permanent. We hope this does the trick, but he'll be sore for a few days now. He still coaches Meagan's soccer team as well as referee soccer. He never even played soccer as a kid, and now he knows everything about it!
Heather- I went on an awesome silent retreat last weekend from Thursday night to Sunday. Refreshing! I received many graces during that silent time. Besides that, it's just work, chauffer, wash clothes, sleep. Exciting, huh? I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Did you know we got a puppy? He's a "chaweenie". His name is Lucky aka Taco Bell dog. He's cute... good thing he's got that going for him! 'Cause he's getting to be an aggrevating little animal. Tootie''s still hanging in there... she's 14 years old! She eats, sleeps and poops. And she was not at all amused when we brought home Lucky. She's still not happy about it. What were we thinking, anyway??
OH! Kids have International Bazaar in a few weeks at School. Meagan needs things from Japan for her project, as well as an outfit. If you have something, please call me. Jason's class is doing Brazil. He's got to do some research on the religion, but I don't think he actually has to do a project on his own. Anway, let us know if you have something you'd be willing for them to use.
It's finally gotten down to the 60's here! So nice. And you know, Christmas will be here before you know it.
Take care

Praying the Rosary
Meagan told me she prayed two decades of the rosary today! "One this morning and one at the prayer table in class". That was right after she asked if I'd pray the Angelus with her.
